Day for the Abolition of Slavery

Celebrated every year on December 2.

Day for the Abolition of Slavery was celebrated first in 1986 and was organized by the United Nations General Assembly to remind us that slavery is based on injustice and that, contrary to popular belief, slavery still happens even today.

We need to keep spreading awareness about slavery
and oppose slavery where we can
so we can one day celebrate the end of all slavery on this world
and make this a wonderful holiday for everybody.
