An event every year that begins at 00:00 on day 29 of October, repeating indefinitely
Hermit Day is celebrated every year on October 29.
Hermit Day is the anniversary of the last day of the Saint Colman mac Duagh who died in Ireland in 632 A.D. after a seven-year hermitage in a cave in the Burren Forest.
For a while he had the company of a fly, a mouse and a rooster who all kept him faithful company.
When the last of those animals died though, it was said that Colman truly had lost all his riches.
