Jellyfish Day

November 3

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every year that begins at 00:00 on day 3 of November, repeating indefinitely

When:
November 3
Where:
🌐 Everywhere
First occurrence:
This is a holiday about jellyfish that are not fish at all,
but also not quite jelly.

These creatures we usually only see outside their element
where they make us wonder how they can even exist.

Not many people know that the jellyfish is a species older
than humans and even older than dinosaurs.

Part of how jellyfish survived this long as a species might be because they have a way of living that sounds almost like something from a fairy tale or even like an alien life form.
The way jellyfish live teaches us that there is still so much to learn about how life itself exists in mysterious ways even here on Earth.

And don’t pee on jellyfish stings!
unless you dislike that person.

Urine on jellyfish stings only make the sting worse!
Instead, remove left tentacles if any, apply vinegar and maybe check the local first aid to be sure.
