What would you do if you’d get lost
without a compass
or without using navigation apps?
Map, compass, mobile phone. No way to get lost, right?šŸ§
Imagine how we could get around when we have nothing to aid us in navigation.

When we enter territory that is not familiar.
We learned to rely onĀ compassesĀ andĀ mapsĀ and now we even haveĀ tiny pocket computersĀ that do all theĀ navigationĀ for us!
Many of us play games that require navigational gear likeĀ geocachingĀ and otherĀ location based games. How do we know how to navigate without any helping objects?

There are some ways that can help us by using our senses.
The sun rises in the East and sets in the West.
So when you know for sure if itā€™s morning or afternoon/evening, then you have some idea of direction. At night you can try to locate theĀ North Star, which is called that for a reason.
The North Star can be found at the end of the handle of theĀ Big Dipper.
If you are really desperate you can look at which side of the tree the moss grows. On theĀ Northern HemisphereĀ this is often on the North side and on theĀ Southern HemisphereĀ this is often on the South side.
However, moss does not really care about North or South and just cares about getting enough sun and moisture. So result may vary wildly.
