Moonwalk Day

When:
July 20

Where:
Everywhere

First occurrence:
1971

Moonwalk Day commemorates the day that
the first human set foot on the moon.
On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong made the
first human footprint on the moon.
Buzz Aldrin followed soon to join Neil for a walk.
They even collected some cool rocks and made pictures.
It was an afternoon stroll to remember.

Two years later a bill in the US Senate was passed
to make this date a national holiday for the year 1971.

As the whole world followed the broadcast
of the first Terrans on the moon,
National Moonwalk Day 1971 became celebrated worldwide
as an annual worldwide Moonwalk Day.
