The top spinner or spinning top has been around for centuries,
no for millennia….at least!
It’s a cute simple toy that trains our eye-hand coordination
and teaches us basic physics by using it’s rotational inertia
to defy gravity as long as it spins hard enough.

“The earth spins around a single axis, just as toy spinning tops and yo-yo’s do.” – Judith Schulz (director of The Spinning Top & Yo-Yo Museum)
