Winter themed sweaters are one of the most traditional
Winter Holidays gifts on the Northern Hemisphere
next to warm socks, scarves and luxurious food items.

Their large surface allow for a plethora of whimsical
winter wonderful designs.

👕
The earliest documented media trends for holiday sweaters
have been spotted in the 1950ies when “Jingle Bell Sweaters”
became all the rage, promoted by artists on television
and a rage amongst teens and everyone fun-loving.

After this initial trend, the novelty of the sweaters wore off.
Until the 1980ies came, a decade known for shameless
product placement in media.
The trend of holiday sweaters was revived and
it was more expressive and colorful than ever!
In true 1980ies style, the holiday sweaters were
heavily promoted in numerous series and movies.

👕
The sweatered cat was out of the bag ever since
and people made it a challenge to make their sweaters
so outrageous that they were ironically dubbed “ugly sweaters”.

Since Winter Holidays are bigger than ever in the 21rst century, the Christmas sweaters are all in vogue again
because you just cannot have enough holiday spirit
in this time of the year.
