Perpetually mlemming numbat
Mlem!

Numbat is not an insult. If it was, then it would be an

ineffective one, because numbats ( Myrmecobius fasciatus)
are incredibly cute looking creatures.
This extraordinary creature is a marsupial, living in Australia.
The numbat is definitely not one of the dangerous creatures
that Australia is infamous for.
…at least if you are NOT an insect.

๐Ÿพ

The numbat is also known as the “banded anteater”.
But numbats actually prefer to eat termites.
An average single grown up numbat can eat up to
20.000 termites a day!
Makes you wonder who were the unlucky scientists to
count all those termites so we could know this piece of trivia

๐Ÿพ

The sticky tongue of a numbat is as long as
25% of their own body!
Numbats are the champions of โ€˜mlemโ€˜!
Mlem: (adjective):ย onomatopoeia for the supposed sound
of a tongue going in and out of the mouth (like in licking).
