Celebrated every year on October 13
Fontinalia was an ancient Roman festival to honor Fontos, the god of wells and springs.
Throughout the city, fountains and wellheads were decorated with garlands of flowers and flowers were thrown in to float around.
This is a day to celebrate water sources.
Many of us take clean drinkable water from a tap in the house for granted.
Many other people on this world are not so lucky.
Celebrate when you feel grateful for the water supply you have.
