World Vegan Day

World Vegan Day

Celebrated every year on November 1.

World Vegan Day was created  in 1994 by Louise Wallis, who was then Chair of The Vegan Society in the United Kingdom, to commemorate the anniversary of the founding of the organisation and the coining of the terms “vegan” and “veganism” in 1944.
Even though an exact date wasn’t known. So November 1 was chosen because it’s the day after Halloween and therefore cool.
