Celebrated every year on October 25

International Artists Day was created by Chris MacClure in 2004.

It is hard to say when the first piece of art was made,
because probably nobody ever has agreed on what art is.
And that is okay because art is about how you experience it.
Experience is a matter of taste that comes from our individuality in a certain moment.
And the more “in the moment” and personal an experience is,
the more chance that the art will be called pretentious.
Being called pretentious is very common for art when it sells for a lot of money.
When art is not pretentious it is either called “funny” or becomes popculture.
